The tragedy in Charlottesville could have been an occasion to stop and consider how the tolerance for politically correct violence and politically correct hatred is leading the nation towards civil war.

Instead the media and the political left have turned this incident into the biggest fake news story of the summer, transforming its real lessons into a morality play that justifies war against the political right, and against white people generally.

The organizers of the "Unite the Right" demonstration in Charlottesville were repellent racists.

But they came to defend a historic monument honoring a complex man and cause, and not to attack it or presumably anyone else.

They applied for a permit and were denied. They re-applied successfully in a petition supported by the local ACLU.

If they had come to precipitate violence, why would they have gone to the tedious trouble of applying for a permit?

Who knows what — if anything — would have happened if that had been the end of the story and no one had showed up to oppose them.

What Unite the Right actually demonstrated was that the assortment of neo-Nazis, pro-Confederates and assorted yahoos gathered under the banner of the "Alt-Right" is actually a negligible group.

This supposed national show of strength actually attracted all of 500 people.

Compare that to the tens of the thousands who can readily be marshaled by two violent groups of the left — Black Lives Matter and Antifa — and you get an idea of how marginal "white supremacists" are to America's political and cultural life.

Yet "white supremacy" and its evils became the centerpiece of all the fake news reporting on the event, including all the ludicrous attacks on the president for not condemning enough a bogeyman the whole nation condemns, and that no one but a risible fringe supports.

Talk about virtue signaling!

Omitted from the media coverage were the other forces at work in precipitating the battle of Emancipation Park, specifically Black Lives Matter and Antifa, two violent leftwing groups with racial agendas who came to squelch the demonstration in defense of the monument.

Unlike the Unite the Right demonstrators, the leftist groups did not apply for permits, which would have been denied since there was another demonstration scheduled for that park on that day.

But why should they have applied for a permit, since the mayhem they had previously caused in Ferguson, Berkeley, Sacramento, Portland and other cities, was accomplished without permits, while their criminality was presented by the media as "protests," and their rioting went completely unpunished.

In other words, there were two demonstrations in Charlottesville — a legal protest by Unite the Right and an illegal protest by the vigilantes of Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

Who started the fight is really immaterial. Both sides were prepared for violence because these conflicts are already a pattern of our deteriorating civic life.

Once the two sides had gathered in the same place, the violence was totally predictable.

Two parties, two culpabilities; but except for the initial statement of President Trump, condemning both sides, only one party has been held accountable, and that happens to be the one that was in the park legally.

What is taking place in the media accounts and political commentaries on this event is an effort by the left to turn the mayhem in Charlottesville into a template for their war against a mythical enemy — "white supremacy" — which is really a war on white people generally.

The ideology that drives the left and divides our country is "identity politics" — the idea that the world consists of two groups — "people of color" who are guiltless and oppressed, and white people who are guilty and oppressors.

This is the real race war.

Its noxious themes inform the mindless, hysterical hatred of President Trump, and the equally mindless support of racist mobs like Black Lives Matter and Antifa.

It is a war from which no good can come. But it won’t be stopped unless enough people have the courage to stand up and name it for what it is.

The ad then goes on to say: "The media attacking our president." CNN's Anderson Cooper can clearly be seen in a collage of news personalities shown.

But it claims Trump's plan for America is working. And it cites the creation of one million jobs and the stock market at an all-time record high as just two of his accomplishments.

America Post-Obama

It is common knowledge and totally undisputed that the FBI issued a subpoena for ALL of Hillary Clinton’s emails. It is also common knowledge and totally undisputed that Hillary DID NOT provide ALL of the subpoenaed emails. By Hillary’s own words she testified that she destroyed over 33,000 emails BEFORE providing the remainder to the FBI. There was NO confirmation of her statement that the destroyed emails were all personal emails. The subpoena did not provide her with the option of deciding which emails to give to the FBI. The subpoena was for ALL of her emails. It is crystal-clear that her act of destroying 33,000 emails was obstruction of justice. It is also crystal-clear that her reason for destroying them was to prevent them from being seen. This is obviously a cover-up of information which SHE DID NOT WANT TO FBI TO HAVE! At the very least, Hillary should have been charged with obstruction of justice. Of the remaining emails which she did release to the FBI, there were many which were classified secret or higher. This is a violation of several laws regarding maintaining classified information. At the least, she should have been charged with violating these laws. Although, there was plenty of evidence that Hillary had committed crimes, James Comey did not even convene a grand jury to look at the evidence, and obviously she was never charged with anything. Why not? In my opinion, the answer is simple. She is a democrat. The FBI officials are almost entirely liberal-left in their political views. The FBI will not pursue any substantial investigation of any high-ranking left-leaning politician. You scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours. Obama’s purposeful corruption of the Justice Department and the FBI is plainly showing itself in the continual cover-ups of misdeeds and dishonesty of the left-leaning politicians. It is obvious that the FBI has degenerated into an American Gestapo to be used to protect left-leaning lawbreakers and persecute and prosecute right-leaning individuals even if they have done nothing illegal. Ditch Mitch

The legislative filibuster in the senate is totally out of sync with the concept of democratic rule. It is intended and used exclusively as a vehicle by a minority of senators to sabotage and impede the efforts of a majority of senators to implement legislation. Stating it differently, the senate filibuster is strictly a destructive instrument which ensures that nothing can be accomplished. This leads to the inescapable conclusion that any senator who defends the filibuster or tries to describe it as having ANY positive value is either willfully lying or woefully ignorant or helplessly stupid. Let me give you the name of a senator who is fighting to defend the filibuster, Senator Mitch McConnell. Unfortunately, Senator McConnell sits in a very powerful political position which he has obtained simply by being a senator nearly forever. I certainly cannot see any other characteristic which he displays to qualify him to be occupying such a powerful position. He is a roadblock preventing any progress for the GOP agenda! I have been calling for the elimination of the filibuster for a long time because I know that nothing will ever be accomplished worthwhile while it continues to exist. It is just plain stupid to demand that the passage of a bill in the senate requires the support of 60 senators out of 100. As long as Senator McConnell maintains his leadership authority in the senate, the filibuster will continue to exist and the GOP agenda will continue to be unattainable. DITCH MITCH NOW!!!

I am sick and tired of hateful left-wing fanatics like you trying to nitpick every single sentence that President Trump utters. Half of what you profess has little or nothing to do with what he says, but you cherry-pick everything for any negative that you can claim. How about some real negatives which were uttered by a lying president before. How about “You can keep your doctor.” Now that is a big purposeful LIE! How about “Your health insurance premiums will go down.” How about “I will investigate the Fast and Furious scandal.” How about “The 33,000 emails that I deleted were all personal emails.” How about “I will investigate the blatant discrimination against conservative organizations by the IRS.” The entire 8 years of the Obama administration was nothing but lies, lies and more lies, and you have the gall to expend monstrous amounts of energy to find idiotic and inane points to nitpick President Trump about. By the way, there is very substantial evidence of collusion between Ukraine sources and the DNC which far surpasses anything you will ever find regarding collusion between President Trump and the Russians. However I am sure that that will not deter you from continuing your ongoing “Russian witch hunt”. Since you are so dedicated to spreading propaganda, why don’t you go write for North Korea’s “news”. I am sure that they can use someone with your dubious talent!

More democrats break the law

·         The Postal Service is in violation of The Hatch Act for allowing employees to do work for Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates during leave from the Service, the Office of Special Counsel said.

The Hatch Act is a federal law that puts limitations on federal employees’ political activities.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., brought complaints by a constituent to the Office of Special Counsel in October, Fox News reported.

That constituent was a Postal Service employee, who said the agency "incurred unnecessary overtime costs" when it allowed members of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) to have "union official" leave so they could participate in the political campaigns.

The work included manning phone banks, going door to door, and other efforts to get out the vote in 2016 battleground states, mainly Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, the report said.

Adam Miles, OSC acting special counsel, said the Hatch Act prohibits the Postal Service "facilitating and directing carrier releases for the union’s political activity."

The Senate Homeland Security Committee is holding a hearing Wednesday on the case.

In Miles' prepared statement to the committee, he said the practice is “long-standing, going back many election cycles, and perhaps started in the 1990s," the Fox News report said.

"As a federal entity, the USPS must remain politically neutral," Miles said in his remarks, Fox News reported.

"In many localities, the Postal Service is a citizen’s primary point of contact with the federal government, reinforcing the need for strict adherence to the letter and the spirit of the Hatch Act,” Miles said in the remarks, Fox News reported.

collusion with the Russians

On Friday, July 14^th, the Associated Press in an article co-authored by Desmond Butler and Chad Day reported that an individual named Rinat Akhmetshin has ties to Russian intelligence agencies. They further noted that Mr Akhmetshin stated that there were people with Russian ties providing funding for the DNC and for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign. Nowhere in their article did they state that the DNC or that the Hillary Campaign had refused the Russian funding. I am sure that this was a colossal Freudian slip that these co-authors accidentally included a gem of truth in their article. What were the Russian-related people buying from Hillary Clinton and the DNC for the ‘funding’ that was being given? In other words, one could ask ‘How much of a bribe was being paid, and what was being bought from Hillary and the DNC?”. It is crystal-clear that people with Russian ties paid the Clinton Foundation over 100 million dollars for Hillary Clinton’s approval of the sale of 20% or America’s uranium resources to a Russian company when she was the Secretary of State during the Uranium One deal. So what has changed? The democrats continue to collude with the Russians while at the same time making false accusations about President Trump colluding with the Russians. If we had an honest public media instead of hate-filled propagandists writing our news articles, then the Hillary ‘collusion’ would be reported in our news media. Don’t expect the truth to be aired in our ‘liberal’ media anytime in the near future, if ever!
